JIMPIRE Child Development Centre Organizes Home Therapist Training for Parents

Changanacherry: Recognizing the importance of parental involvement in the development of children with learning and developmental disabilities, JIMPIRE Child Development Centre conducted a one-day training program to empower parents as home therapists.

The session was led by renowned expert Dr. R. J. Dhanesh Kumar, Chief Consultant Therapist at CIMCD, VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottakkal. Dr. Dhanesh Kumar provided detailed guidance on how parents can support their child’s therapy at home. He emphasized that while centers like JIMPIRE and professional therapists play a vital role, parents and grandparents must also actively participate in the therapeutic journey for effective results.

As part of the program, Dr. Sr. Jossy Maria conducted a special interaction and counseling session for parents, offering emotional support and practical advice. Participants also toured the JIMPIRE facility, experiencing its world-class therapy services and meeting the dedicated team of therapists and professionals.

The event was inaugurated by Changanacherry MLA Job Michael. Dr. George Padanilam, Founder of JIMPIRE and a renowned surgeon based in the USA, along with Rev. Fr. James Pazhyamadom, Director, addressed the gathering. Around 100 parents and grandparents of children undergoing therapy at JIMPIRE actively participated in the program. program was coordinated by Administrator Sr. Dr. Christy Maria SH, along with Neethu Murali and Aleenu Maria James.

JIMPIRE, part of the Jimmy Padanilam Centre in Cheeranchira, was established in 2023 under the patronage of the Archdiocese of Changanacherry. It provides professional therapy and developmental support to children with special needs. Over 600 children have benefited from its services so far.
