Speech Therapy
Speech therapy techniques and activities are designed to improve all communication by addressing delays and disorders in expressive/receptive language, articulation, oral motor dysfunction, apraxia of speech , social language, fluency(stuttering)’ feeding and swallowing, and cognitive skills. The goals of speech therapy are to promote independence, spontaneous communication-initiation, and emotional development, such as self-esteem and self-assertiveness. At JIMPIRE, our experienced and qualified child friendly Speech Pathologists work closely with your children to assess their ability to speak and understand others before designing customised therapy sessions based on each child’s individual speech and language goals. In order to encourage contact, communication, and social skills, we also hold group therapy sessions. These programmes are tailored to each child’s unique requirements and ability. In order to educate parents on how to encourage their children to communicate more, therapists work with them. Safe eating procedures and swallowing techniques are also taught to kids who need assistance with feeding or who have trouble swallowing.
