Multiple studies have corroborated that early years of life are the most critical for growth of all children and this is especially true for children with special needs. Timely intervention aids in comprehensive development of the child with special needs to reach the highest potential possible and prevent further progression of the impairment causing difficulties in other fields of activity. Therefore, it makes sense that early identification and early intervention programs can significantly improve the quality of their lives. Such a program will work towards these children achieving their maximum potential and thereby promoting early inclusion into the mainstream. 

Developmental intervention requires an interdisciplinary approach of a multidisciplinary team. Unfortunately, such centers are exceedingly rare in India. To put the concerns of parents at bay, JIMPIRE has been founded in 2023 under Archdiocese of Changanachery, to provide high quality therapy services to children with developmental issues.We are proud to have the most modern facilities and well-trained competent staff experienced at handling children with special needs in a creative and comprehensive way.

JIMPIRE is a venture by Asha Bhavan Society, Ithithanam under the Archdiocese of Changanachery. Jimmy Padanilam Center(JPC) has been providing care for differently abled children at Cheeranchira, Changanachery since 2015. In 2020, JPC and Asha Bhavan Society joined hands to provide quality care to the differently abled children. In 2023, JPC was upgraded with state of the art facilities to provide therapy services under the banner JIMPIRE.

JIMPIRE is a therapy center started by Ashabhavan Society under the leadership of Changanacherry Archdiocese. Ashabhavan Society has been training children with special needs for the last 50 years. The society has a school in Ithithanam where about 160 children with Special Needs study. To put that experience to the best use we decided to set up a therapy center, named JIMPIRE that will operate at Jimmy Bhavan in Cheeranchira, Changanacherry, which was donated by Dr. George Padanilam and his family. Therapeutic intervention is found to be effective in empowering people with developmental disabilities to become a part of the society. JIMPIRE is a therapy center well equipped with state of the art facilities to effectively promote rehabilitation of these people in a more creative way.

With modern diagnostic methods developmental disabilities can be detected at an early age, even before they are born. JIMPIRE is equipped with modern equipment to render state of the art therapies with the help of experienced professionals. JIMPIRE is in partnership with area hospitals to ascertain the early diagnosis of disabilities.

Early child development lay the foundation for lifelong learning, behavior and health. The experiences children have in early childhood shape the brain and child capacity to learn.In the post natal year, the growth and development of the child is at its greatest in the first 2 to 3 years. Growth and development includes not only the physical changes that occur from infancy, but also some of the changes in emotions, personality, behavior, thinking and speech that children develop as they begin to understand and interact with world around them.
